    How did you get rid of the crayon smell?
    325i, 2005, 5MT, Silvergrey, leatherette, Sport package; CDV delete, KONI STR-T & KYB Excel-G, Weisslichts, Stewart H2O pump

    328i, 2010, 6MT, Spacegrey, dakota leather, M-sport packages; has a 330 intake but no tune - yet

    Rip out all the sound insulation that covers the rear shock towers. You have to be thorough, its behind some cables and panels in some places. It comes out pretty easily though. After the lining is all removed, spray some leather/vinyl cleaner in the trunk. The Crayon smell is completely gone on my car now. Did it for my father in law's e46 328i, same result and it still smells great after a few weeks.

    Thanks for the info. Had read about the smell coming from glue before.
