Anyone know if this mod is still possible with a V3? I always thought no but then I just realized that V3 still has the two leds.

Mini mania may still have some v2 units lying around. I called and ordered 2 extra controllers last time i made a sport mode switch.

Minimania is the company that makes these from what I understood.

Oh that’s interesting. When I was looking them up I saw that aFe was mentioned as the manufacturer.

I've now read this entire thread twice. Just finished it for the second time on a flight. This headache is worth it. For those of you that have been running this for years, how has the longevity been? Specifically, I am considering this for my step zhp. Since there are no software changes, I am guessing it shouldn't increase wear on the transmission. Would this be an accurate assumption. Thanks

I've had my SB for years, no issues. No effect on the transmission, it removes the throttle by wire lag, nothing to do with the transmission.

So I grabbed a SB off of e46fanatics a couple of weeks ago. Wasn’t expecting much. But holy crap, in race mode the zhp is a whole different car. It’s amazing. I have to remind myself that my winters are still on and shouldn’t push too much but damn it’s so cool.

Nows the hard part. I can’t solder at all- no idea how. Is there anyone here that would be willing to tackle this project for me? I’d of course compensate them for their time.
