Thanks, John. She needs a new fuel pump, but she still runs well enough to smoke a 335! One tried to drag me yesterday--he had me in first (I upshifted at 5000), but second gear was all mine. A half-mile later at a stoplight, he told me he knew he was in trouble when he heard the S/C whine!

    Hi Shawn,

That's the shade that I've used on my last two cars. Covercraft model number UVS100. I love 'em, though they definitely have a limited lifespan. Initial fit and finish is superb, and they are the single most effective solution to cabin heating; I've also got relatively dark-tinted windows, but the shade is the biggest factor by far.

Here is what mine looks like after two and a half years of daily use. You'll notice the seams between each section start to sag a little (they didn't initially) and there's some hefty breakage where I always grip the thing when folding/unfolding the shade:

If it is the same one as the BMW one that the dealers sell I see them for under 50 bucks on the dealer websites. I was thinking of getting one soon.

Thanks for the review and recommendation Kevin. Tinting is on my list as well. I think I'll start with this though.

Dragging this thread back from 5 years of stagnation as this heat wave got me shopping for a sunshade and apparently this is still the best option out there.

Now y'all know I ain't about to pay full price for any damn thing, so I searched back from the BavAuto part number and found the same, non-BavAuto-branded product available on AutoAnything: https://www.autoanything.com/driving...A5833A0A0.aspx

Waited until a code popped up for 21% off today (FLASH21), so now I've got the ultimate sunshade on the way for $43.44 shipped.

    Stay frosty
