Curious if any of you are close... I'm "back at work" on my ship, and our schedule changed. We're sitting in the harbor right now, here for about 10 days. It's hard for me to get time off, but if anyone is close and would like to meet up/hang out, I'd be down.

Nah, schedule changes all the time. We're discharging now, and then we'll sit at anchor for a bit and then come back in to the dock and discharge the rest of the load.

Hey. I'm about 30 minutes from LB. Do you have transportation? I could try to get down there to meet for lunch or something one day. Also, tentatively, I'll be heading down to San Diego on Wednesday for dinner as Charlie is in town, so if you have time, I could pick you up on the way down. I plan to return the same day. It's about a 2 hour drive from here.

Hey John... I'd love to join, but I can't get any days off. I can get an evening off but I'm without transportation. Basically, all I can do is cab or walk from where the launch boat drops us, which is right at pierpoint landing, behind the aquarium...
I know, not ideal, and I don't expect you drive up. Just a thought if anyone is close and wants to grab a beer or bite to eat.

Wednesday wont work, its my duty day, so I have to be on the ship all night.. But, we're supposed to shift back to the dock on Friday, so I could take that night off. I'd be free at about 5pm or so.
I'll have to cab into downtown long beach. Burgers and a beer?

John and I have been texting about Fri and it seems to work for both of us. We'd be coming into Long Beach via the Vincent Thomas bridge so picking you up wouldn't be a problem.
