That's awesome because I'm sure there are a few on this forum who also have E9x cars and would be interested in this info.

From what I have learned, those with E9x cars need to reprogram their cars to their new battery whereas the E46 people do not.

AGM batteries are the way to go. They are a bit more cost wise in most cases but worth the extra money. They perform better in extreme weather, both Hot and Cold. They are more resistant to damage internally and usually last 2 to 3 times longer. You have to keep them on a charger designed for an AGM if the car isn’t driven frequently. Highly recommend AGM’s.

Tomorrow is my M3’s turn. Today I was sitting in front of my M3 just admiring how awesome it is to own this amazing high revving sled. I never get tired of looking at or driving this beautiful machine. When driving, still after 12 years of ownership, this car never fails to bring huge smiles to my face as I rev her towards 8000 rpm What an amazing sound!!!

You need to "register" the new battery to tell the car's electrical system that you replaced it. We went through it with the F30.

John, are you referring that on E46 BMWs we also need to register the new battery? Am I reading this right???

No, E46s do not require battery registration. I have no E90 experience, but registration is required on F3x & F2x models.

Okay, I'm on the same page... I do know that with E9x you have to register the battery so basically E9x and newer cars require battery registration... guess I'm lucky that I have an E46

New wheel speed sensors have been ordered from FCP Euro today.

Next on the list will be a new H7 battery and two new Hankook Ventus V12 EVO2 front tires

My new wheel speed sensors came in so I better be getting off my butt to change them out real soon…

I have the 5mm hex nut and tools to do this. Time to go to Harbor Freight to get a set of ramps so I won’t need to borrow Botond’s

Weather starting to warm up and I won't have any excuses to get off my butt and install these wheel speed sensors so I will be looking to do them the weekend after next since this upcoming weekend I have a road trip planned

I will also be ordering a new battery from FCP euro for my M3 then getting the car ready for the upcoming 2021 car season
