Referring to parts 3 and 4 in the diagram below, which I removed some time ago in order to repaint. It was easy and worth doing, the result is unexpectedly good. I used a flat black spray paint made for exterior automotive plastic trim.
Problem is, I can't remember how the 2 pieces fit back in. It's a pretty tight fit. The 2 pieces snap together but I don't know if they go back in as an assembly or separately.
