    Need advice on Tire Sizes

Hey guys I did some searching and found a lot about people who have different rims or people who want to to small/square on 135s but not much about bigger.

So here is my dilemma, I need new tires and my first option is the General GMax AS-03, but the rears seem to be back ordered (still waiting on final word from tire rack) and my second choice is the continental DWS.

If I cant get the 255's in the General should I just go with the continentals or should I try fitting a different size of the general out back? Say 265? I would rather go wider versus narrower.

Thanks for the help guys and if I missed a thread some where that can answer this please just point me there.

rear wheel size is what? 18x8.5?

With that being said, I wouldn't go 265. You'll have too much tire.

Yep. No joy. Only place I have see them is Tire Rack. My tire guy is who told me they were back ordered so he suggested I email TR and see if they have a set. So I am waiting to hear back.

The OEM is a 255/35... If you go with either the 245/35 or the 265/35, you'll be 1.10% different in overall size. Of course, the 245/35 will be smaller, so at an observed speed of 75 mph (speedo reading) your actual speed will be 74.2. With the larger 265/35, you'll be doing an actual 75.8 mph.

That being said, each size is really close. Personally, I went with 245/35 all around as I wanted a square setup and didn't want to try to fit anything bigger up front without having to do fender mods...

I don't think you would have any problem running the 265/35 out back. You're talking 10mm... Not that much...

Yeah my only concern was rubbing anyway should have stated that. Plus our speedos are already off from the factory anyway.

I am running on the zhp the dws from conti. They are a pretty good tire for an all season tire. However they are pricey.

Yeah they are a bit out out of my range but I hear good things.

Any one have any experience with the Yokohama Advin all seasons?

They look to be only about 30 bucks more for the set over the generals.
