I like UUC black trans mounts. For OE go lemforder. M3 version is double cost and feels the same but likely will last a little longer. I typically like Corteco or Febi (Bilstein) for rubber mounts and Lenforder when a bearing/ball joint is involved.

Dexron III ATF for steering fluid. This is what I prefer:

What are the symptoms of a Steering Coupling going bad? Or is replacement a preventive maintenance? I have a 159+ clicks on mileage.

Needed to make my wheel thicc!

The leather should relax and smooth out from its new tension over the next month since it’s winter now. Summer would have heated up the leather and adhesive enough for everything to slide into smoothness in a couple days.

Wheel looks great! I didn it on my zhp early this year and have to say it was PITA. I think I gonna outsource steering wheels recovery in the future.

Did an oil and air filter change! I couldn’t find my washer fluid pump or I would have done that too.

All right I’m ready to put a tease on the project and working on, picture below. I’m sure someone here knows what I’m up to.
