Sorry to hear about the side skirt mishap, you did a great job with the touch up though. I'm fairly certain if you took that side skirt off yourself and took it to a paint shop, it wouldn't cost that much to get fixed properly and repainted.

I have this car cover/garage almost 2 months now. Better than my previous car cover. Which gathers dust under the cover. I could open through front or the back. Both ends are lockable. My daughter calls it my homeless shelter. At least my neighbors are friendly enough. Also as long as the rear is not in the ROW.

Today I completed all maintenance work on my ZHP which ended up becoming a huge project but all the work is pretty much complete. I have never done anything as extensive as this by myself and am amazed by just how much good information can be found through fellow forum members as well as on the Internet. First of all my thanks to Jon (JupiterBMW) for his detailed TPMS retrofit DIY, Vas for pointing out the hose I was searching for, to Roylan for giving me the opportunity to buy his G.A.S. CCV Replacement Kit and to Botond for lending me his ramps which was a big help. I have always been amazed by the car community and how people involved come to help when help is needed. I hope this will always continue because we all share a common interest and I am always helping whenever someone reaches out to me.

So with that said this is the list of everything I have done during this recent maintenance/repair project:

    - Oil Filter Housing gasket replacement
    - VANOS Oil Feed Line replacement with new Banjo bolts and crush washers
    - Cooling system hard line replacement (upper and lower) with original OEM BMW part
    - Replaced all heater core hoses with original OEM BMW part
    - Replaced radiator with original OEM BMW part
    - Replaced expansion tank with original OEM BMW part
    - Installed original OEM BMW thermostat
    - Installed Stewart water pump
    - Installed ECS Tuning lightweight aluminum water pump pulley
    - Installed aluminum water pump thread cap
    - Fully cleaned out intake manifold and installed new gaskets
    - Cleaned out intake ports on engine as well as the area around the intake ports
    - Replaced Engine Coolant Sensor with original OEM BMW part
    - Replaced Oil Pressure Switch sensor with original OEM BMW part
    - Replaced Oil Temperature sensor with original OEM BMW part
    - Installed new Coolant Level sensor with original OEM BMW part
    - Replaced Upper and Lower radiator hoses with original OEM BMW part
    - Replaced Cooling Fan Switch sensor with original OEM BMW part
    - Installed Upper Radiator Hose vent brass screw
    - Installed expansion tank G.A.S. 1.2bar aluminum cap
    - Installed Hella brand Electric Cooling Fan
    - Refreshed all vacuum lines
    - Reconditioned all fuel injectors and replaced O-rings and retainer clips
    - Cleaned Throttle Body and replaced Throttle Body Gasket
    - Cleaned Idle Control Valve
    - Installed DISA with G.A.S. DISA upgrade
    - Installed new Intake Boots (upper and lower) with original OEM BMW part
    - Installed new External Ambient Temperature sensor with original OEM BMW part
    - Replaced Oil Filter Housing Gasket and bolts with original OEM BMW parts
    - Deleted the OE BMW CCV system
    - Installed G.A.S. CCV Replacement Kit
    - Retrofitted BMW TPMS
    - Refilled coolant with BMW coolant

I can now focus on driveline and suspension maintenance for my ZHP next . . . . still more work I want to accomplish while restoring my ZHP

Tonight I ordered a new G.A.S. 1.2bar Coolant Cap for my ZHP.

My daily driver will now have the G.A.S. DISA upgrade kit, G.A.S. CCV Replacement kit and now the G.A.S. 1.2bar Coolant Cap in it's engine bay

Where did you get the Hella electric fan? Those are hard to come by these days. Seems like cool master is the go to

You're the second one to ask me this question. I got this fan a few years back from Turner Motorsport, I reused this fan. I tried searching for a similar fan recently and could not find one. Not sure if Hella is making these fans anymore.

The F31 got its first DIY projects last month. I retrofitted an iDrive 6 setup out of a wrecked 2018 440i to get CarPlay and newer functionality. Nice upgrade and straightforward to install and code. MY2016 was the last year to get iDrive 4 without CarPlay, 2017+ got updated components.

Less fun was replacing some parts on the DEF system. I had a code for the heating line, turns out it's fairly common on N47 diesels in cold climates. It's a plastic line that has a heating element running through it, and it's the length of the car. Pretty shoddy design but thankfully super easy to replace. It was cracked and leaking at the DEF injector. More info here at F30post.

The dealer quoted me $3k parts and 6h labor to replace an absurd number of parts in the DEF system, and it turns out all I needed to clear the code was to replace that line. I replaced the DEF injector for peace of mind, it ended up being $375 and 1h30 of DIY work at a rent-a-lift nearby.

The diesel emissions system is unfortunately living up to its reputation - decided to repair it this time since it was easy and cheap, but a delete stays in the cards if there are any further issues...
