@ZHP_Brandon I’m sure you’re aware, but be careful how you wire up the F10 knob. The first one I tapped into (which was supposed to be switched power but apparently wasn’t) caused a parasitic draw and killed my battery over a weekend.

tackled a few things over the past few weeks.

first up was getting a proper ZCP module that supported single button M track mode to go wit the ZCP steering wheel ive been using. install took a few hours nothing terribly bad.

and also ordering and instaling the OEM CSL snorkel with flap. i tackled the wiring using the awesome resources over on m3forum from Terraphantm and his crew. also leaned on their threads for how to modify my MSSS54HP DME with the H bridge chip and capacitors to handle the flap control.

i modified 2 different MSS54HP DMEs i had. one was in my car and the other was a spare i had been hoarding. both are now modified and function as CSL CLONE dmes with MAP sensor, Flap control and CSL Tune.

drove the car this morning testing out the fla with SPORT ON and OFF and the difference is amazing.

sport mode on M3 is lame, just throttle remap but sport mode with the FLAP is awesome, the FLAP opens earlier and goes to 100% differently based on throttle percentage compared to non SPORT mode.

in non sport mode, the engine is quieter, slower a tad and feels very tame. you turn sport mode ON and throttle gets remapped as before so yo get that QUICK acceleration with the much louder CSL intake sound with a more abrupt sound and feel at the same time so it literally feels like sport mode does something now and is worth while.

I just connected it to my cigarette lighter led directly, I’m not sure if that’s the correct way but it seems fine so far lol

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

I used the grey red stripe wire on the window switch as that's for illumination as all.

No parasitic draw for me whene that method. Car has sat for months at a time and cranked up first time

Yeah I don’t use the led anymore because of how my center console is (Dynavin double USB) and it illuminated with no hiccups so far. I guess I’ll have to wait and see

    But here are some pics

That’s what I ended up using because it’s also controlled by the rheostat. I can’t remember what I used the first time but it ended poorly lol.

Put it away for the winter. Hoping to start driving it again in March. Drove about 21500 miles in 8 months which is about the average. Ended with about 195500 miles.

Put a rebuilt steering rack in the wagon since it started leaking after driving through saltwater with a torn boot

Really wasn't a bad job. I could probably do the next one in 2 hours with help.

Finished ECS level 2 cooling system refresh this week. Will want to get back in there soon and take care of the alternator and tensioners/pulleys.
