160 miles. Just had the oil pan gasket replaced. At the same time, had the oil level sensor gasket/O-rings replaced. Cleaned out the inside bowl of the oil pan. New 5w-40 Liqui Moly Leichtlauf Full Synthetic and oil filter

    Replaced the engine mounts.

Replaced the power steering hose lines, reservoir, pipes, hose clamps, gasket rings and fluid.

Noticed a very small leak in the underside of the radiator. Last time changed was around 118 miles. Next on the list a full cooling system replacement.

Nice! I wasn't aware of the E39 bottle - just mounted this little 1.5L Amazon setup today:

Getting ready for new wheels decided to refurbish center caps (bought this set on eBay for $10). Clean plastics and replace emblem.

OG style wheel caps with new centers. Do they just apply over the top?

You just disassemble them and clean up plastics, some toothbrush, 10mins of your time to get them near new state. Then replace the emblem, nearly 100% match, same size, slightly less border visibility, and it’s OEM meaning longevity much higher than Chinese fakes.

Got my ZHP back from the Indy shop yesterday. It got a new starter. They dropped suspension components to access starter bolts fro
below. Starter was $328 and took a while to arrive. Parts prices are experiencing inflation and supply issues like everything else these days.

It is amazing how much faster the new starter is spinning compared to the full six years of ownership. Apparently I’ve been on the edge of starter failure for a long, long time. It is a testament to how easily the engine starts with bump starting or a dragging starter.

I paid about $7xx for parts and labor back in 2018. I remember the part being $160 or so? I don’t think it was OE part though…
