Headlight went out and I pulled the bulb to find this. The connector had fallen off the back of it. Any ideas of what could've caused this?

That's just wrong on so many levels.
Do you think someone may have been carrying something big or heavy and accidentally swiped your car? It looks like a glancing blow type of damage. Even so though, the person should have come clean about it.

Figured out why I had what I thought was a premature brake pad wear warning light:
It looks like the cable was “repaired” by someone at some point.
