Thanks for the data point. Taking it to one other place today. I'd rather pay for quality than regret a cheap job. The 1350 also includes respraying some OEM M3 mirrors that I bought to do the retrofit so all in its not a bad price.

I think that leak looks like the dye used in ac systems to find a leak.

I recently a got a quote from a local body shop (D&V Autobody in Sterling VA) while my car was there getting an estimate for its bumper repair (parking lot incident). Their quote was $3500~$4K for hood and fenders. This quote is to sand everything down to e-coat (?), fix any dings, etc., then paint.

These guys need to be thumped upside the head. That's easily 3x the price of the most expensive quote I've gotten in the Northeast, which is already an expensive place.

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

I hope it's not a rear main seal leak. Before jumping to conclusions and replacing stuff, I would take a lot of break cleaner and just clean up everything underneath, go for a short drive, put it back on the ramps and try to locate the exact source of the leak.

Kevin gave me a quote of $600-800 to redo the rear bumper cover on my coupe (several license plate hardware dings). I want it done, but not that badly! I need to get a quote from Dan at Mr. Spoiler in Manassas.
