Oof. Yes. They do. I DIY most things. Looked those up when I had a bad one and elected to take mine to a shop.

Had them do both rears because I never wanted to hear a bad wheel bearing again lol. $780 later car is great.

Supposedly they had to buy a bigger hammer at one point because everything on my car was stuck together so hard.

I ended up removing the trailing arm and hub from the car. The axle is seized in the hub so I will have it pressed out with the bearing and hub.

The parts are about $100 per side but I bet the labor is expensive due to the struggle of getting things apart.

Yep. Because everything is typically seized back there and it's a monumental pain in the ass.

I am beyond frustrated at this point. I'll make an update in my progress thread for the car and share pictures.

I remember the rear wheel bearings being the only DIY that Peterman said he actually had difficulty with. I wonder how he’s doing...

Indy's are about the best value for $ in my opinion. Just got some RS4's mounted on my new Bimmerworld wheels for autox and track.

Since I'm soooo outpaced by Civic SI's in GS, no use in buying the 71rs. Tough to get a full season out of them. Interested to feel a difference in the two.

Yeah, I don't want those problems. I'll probably just take my trailing arms up to the shop and have them press everything out while I have a beer.

I have to agree about the Indy 500s. I've only put 250 miles on mine and they are in the top tires I've ever had. Super sticky, no tramlining like the Potenzas that were on previously, and pretty quiet in terms of road noise. At $575 after tax, installed, they were a bargain.
