I will be putting all OEM bushings back in...I really want to do Redish or CMP plates but I have never MIG'd before. I have taken a torch welding course and I was pretty damn good at it by the end of the course...maybe I should do the same for MIG? Might be the best investment I make for my automotive lifestyle.

When I take the old subframe out, I'll do headers and new O2s (since the exhaust has to come out), guibo, shifter bushings and seals, CSB, and maybe a diff swap? Sounds like a good winter project. That'll be almost all the maintenance!

I'd say just buy a MIG and go for it. It won't take long to learn.

My ZHP passed the 160k mike marker this weekend by doing 800 miles this weekend, 250 of which were at Thunder Hill West. 5 hours and 20 minutes of track time across 6 sessions. Single drivers don’t see that kind of track time in anything less than a 12 hour enduro.

Never had a problem, except some PS fluid hiccups.

    What a little car

That is what I have read. Not sure how that all works but that’s why I don’t make steering racks. LOL

My friend has been taking care of everything while I was in Aussie for a couple weeks and he was ultra descriptive on how great it was since sliced bread last week. I just got home now so hopefully I get to try this out and see if it’ll spark my memory with my ZHP. He just brought a RHD Scooby STI that happened to blow its head gasket so luckily I was gone when he needed a rental car.

Jeez... I'm guessing the ZHP took it like a champ.

It did. I saw two cars go home on the back of AAA trucks that were much newer than the zhp, and they had no cosmetic damage so I’m guessing something in the driveline.

It was. I don’t think I’ll ever get that much track time in one day again unless I rent a track myself or some how do a 24 hour race.

The company is called, appropriately, ”Track Time.” It’s an off-shoot of NASA.
