Since I use the X5 as my daily, the E46 can sit for months and have experienced the storage flatspot. I usually can get back to round after a few miles but still an issue. I like the Race Ramps Flatstopper but their 12" Wheel Crib might be better for actually having the tires cradled AND 12" in the air. You are not stressing bushings or joints by storing it on jack stands at full droop and gaining all the ground clearance of the jack stands.

Camping World has some normal height Chinese hard plastic ones for cheap on a Cyber Monday special and I ordered a set (less than $8 for a set of 2) and will have them sprayed with an anti-skid composite bedliner foam and see if how they work.

Finished CCV on the wife’s ZSP. My first time doing the job. Wasn’t terrible. Probably took 7-8 hours total, taking my time.

The car still seems to have a slight hiccup in idle when warming up. A slight dip of 50rpm or so.

    No SES light yet though.

Put ZHP in local Indy shop for steering guibo replacement and Z4 FCABs. Picking up tomorrow. Indy says he drove it and it now has a more aggressive action to steering wheel movements. I am looking forward to seeing the difference. Car got all new suspension parts 12k miles ago and while significantly better than its previous 109k miles original suspension, it recently felt a bit too loose and wandering to my taste.

Currently in the middle of a full cooling system overhaul including hard lines and radiator, ccv system, all of the power steering lines, and anything else while I am in there. This is my winter project

^ nice! I actually ordered a new radiator and water pump from FCP to do my cooling system. I'm at 103k miles, so i think I am ok to hold off on the water pump for now, but i heard you should replace your radiator after 100k miles. What do you guys think? Can a wait a while longer? so far no symptoms of anything to be worried about.

Water pump should be done at 80-100k, so you’re definitely due.

My rad sprung a minor leak around 120k miles (conveniently right before a road trip), so that’s when I replaced it. I actually have a spare rad I keep in my basement just in case.
