Is that why the upper seal is so damn expensive?

There's a diy for it, I'll try to dig up and send you. It's inexpensive, but you'll absolutely want a flex-neck screwdriver.

The upper seal is integrated into the overhead trim piece (which is just effing stupid, but I'm past that). That whole piece is like $500 per side IIRC. The lower is also part of the trim, but at $115 it's much more reasonable.

For comparison, the matte shadowline lower piece is ~$30. I guess there are times when an M3 is cheaper than a ZHP.

There's a link to a video in the text as well. The aquarium pvc isn't mentioned by the OP, but by one of the commenters. I know the pic I posted above is the correct size, because it was the leftover tubing given to me by the guy I bought my M3 seats from (he did this on his car and it looked fantastic).

    So, you need:
    •One foot of 1/4"ID-3/8"OD tube
    •An 8' package of "7/8-3/4" adhesive-back bulb-style weather stripping"
    •PH2 bit and a flex-neck driver
•Small flathead for pressing the seal into the upper trim rail
•Towels for keeping the window shimmed outward
•an extra pair of hands (this is where I f'ed up)

I cleaned the windows on the inside using Stoner's Invisible Glass. I can never get them streak free. The best technique seems to be a heavy 1st coating then wipe down. Then follow with a lighter coating and use a drier side or new towel.

When your windows are clean enough and free of oils, then it'll be easy to clean them streak free. I just use a damp towel in one hand and a dry towel in the other. Wax on, wax off! As long as the dry follows immediately after damp, there should be no streaks.

+1. Otherwise use Stoners IG to remove oils, then use the damp towel/dry towel method. Just using water will also help reduce internal fogging.

I'll probably remove the quarter window when I do the passenger side, since I'll be doing the lower trim too...it'll be a game time decision.
