Got lucky with my 2nd ZHP as it was an 05 and Imola. 3rd one kinda ruined my spiel.

Finally got my diffuser back in, but as the rightmost mounting point broke off due to rocks on the Angeles Crest Highway I just drilled and ziptied it. Something something drift car?

Also bought a 150w, 21k lumen UFO light for the garage. Holy crap it's like having a second sun lol

Pretty sure one or two tabs on my diffuser are zipped too. Luckily our cars are so darn low compared to the average car you really can’t see it. Also that light looks insane.

Thanks San. Frankly, I was lazy to open my inbox to find the right nickname. I had a very long conversation with him. His help was huge for bringing my touring from Canada.

Hey man, I’m still here and still have the car. Unfortunately it hasn’t moved in a very long time. Definitely going to have a litany of things to sort out over winter and into spring before it gets back on the road—starting with draining the fuel tank — but she’s not going anywhere, they’ll have to pry this car from my cold dead hands.

That’s awesome you’re moving to Charlotte. I’ll be down there for thanksgiving weekend, I’d love to catch up with you and Pizzaman if anyone/everyone will be around.
Thanks. I am super excited to move down south. I am not sure if I will be there during Thanksgiving. But, I am sure will find another time to do a mini meet. It will be nice to reunite our Canadian cars-)))

I had an exiting weekend my friends. I removed and drove my cars from hibernation. They were seating in storage for 5 month. This is the longest time I was living without my beloved ZHPs. I was soo pleased that both cars were started without any hesitation. Frankly, I was pretty nervous.
You can't believe how happy I was to drive them for the last 3 days.

Contemplating about painting the front end of my car (plus driver and passenger door) since my front end was rough when I bought it. Just not sure if I want to spend $2400...

Edit: oh wait, this weekend is F1... probably, maybe has something to do with it? Haha
Yep, F1. I was too tired for Friday and didn't want to pay an arm and leg for Sunday, so I just went for Saturday's FP3 and qualifying. The speed and noise is so much more impressive in person than on TV. I posted up at T3 to watch them negotiate T3-4-5-6 esses in qualifying trim... my goodness they're fast. They make everything else that ran on track seem pedestrian.

I can only imagine what the banshee wail of the v10s and v12s sounded like back in the day. The Hondas had a distinctive sound when compared to the MBs, Ferraris, and the Renaults. It would be great for F1 teams to bring out old cars to run demo session as part of race weekend festivities, just to give people a chance to hear and feel the previous generation cars. It'll surely made the vintage footage seem more alive.

Surprisingly a huge amount of people for Saturday, someone standing next to me said there were more people this Saturday than for race Sunday from 2019. The sport's growing in the US.

These cars were made for road trips. And towing, too, apparently. Lol.

And to keep this post on theme for the thread: I filled up with some of the sweet Texas 93 octane. None of that wimpy 91 octane we get in CA. Lol.

    edit: forgot some words.

Yeah the TV bit was a bit commercialized compared to previous races, which unironically made it feel very American. It’s clear the sport knows they’re growing here and want some sponsor money and building hype to entice Americans.

I digress. Cmon you have to have some pics to share with us

Is it because of bad paint? Maybe you could just try doing paint correction on it first.

Yeah, somewhat! Just been busy getting into the groove with work. Still gotta deal with swapping my cluster and going to the CBP Port at the airport, which kinda sucks since they're only open from like 9:30-4PM on weekdays. As far as the US and Canada are concerned, my car is still just a visitor, so I have to get a move on with that.

Your move is coming up too right? Keep us posted on how that goes when you have a chance, it's a super-busy time!

Oh man, the things I would do to hear one of those old V10s running at full tilt...

Yeah, I read an article on Jalopnik, heard it was absolutely packed out there. Drive to survive has definitely upped how popular the sport is on this side of the pond.

Haha. I was expecting cheaper gas over here, but nooooope with the conversion rate it's about equivalent to Ontario. I just fill up at Costco early in the morning before work, zero lineup on a weekday at that time.
