Mechanical Engineering - definitely the highlight of my time in uni. You learn so much beyond what's taught in class, and learn niche topics not covered such as how to tune an engine or a deep dive on suspension and vehicle dynamics.

Some of the top cars in Europe have full-time Master's students working on them and the engineering is on a whole other level. For example I know one team made their brake rotor rings out of aluminium (which has horrible thermal and wear characteristics) but they developed some special coating to make it work, all in the name of reducing unsprung mass.
