Because I’m a big fan of using what I’ve already purchased. Compared to the condition of what I have this will already be a huge improvement. Plus now I have a press for them, so I can change them out at will!

well, downers ain't no good, yo!!

BMW used the sealed spherical uppers in both upper and lower locations on the M3. it definitely helps rear wheel articulation. cheap n' easy upgrade. add in sealed spherical RTABs and you've got some serious grip back there!

Part number 33326775551 can be used on the upper and lower locations.

Non-m cars have a rubber bushing in the lower and the m-cars have the ball joint in both locations.

Lemforder brand is roughly $30 per ball joint. Just need the tool to remove and install them.

Mine were Febi. I either price-shopped, or FCP was out of Lemmy at the time. Either way, warranty

I bought the Schwaben tool you linked me to. It’s worked great so far (one side down, about to start the other side).

Glad to hear it worked great. I should just invest in it since it was not expensive.

Was that the Schwaben set that was on sale at ECS last month? I bought that... Works great! It literally took more time to set the tool up that it did to get the control arm lower bushing out using an impact gun
I like that it has a bearing on the nut instead of a plain washer.. still grease that bearing up and grease the threads on the rod and it will last forever.

The only thing I didn't like about it is it didn't include a sleeve big enough to do the rear diff bushing. I had to use one from my ball joint press...
