Oh yeah, on average definitely less expensive than a cheap German car, but depends how deep the rabbit hole goes. I remember reading through some buyer's guide and clicked on the "new but interested road biker" segment - their recommendation was a $8k bicycle for entry level. The fuck?

Upside though is good cardiovascular health that is gentle on the knees. Neither of which improve with car maintenance.

Ya I’ve looked at some bicycle magazines and they all seem to talk about bentleys and rolls Royce whereas I was looking for Toyota Camry.

Is Slater the one with the Estoril Blue coupe with yellow brakes?

Nah that's 704sw, though that car actually came from Canada and slater initially picked up and did some work on. He's actually local to me, he built the red touring that Sergy now has.

God dammit... sunglasses + dim underground parking garage did not go well today. Still kicking myself about it

My rear bumper is pristine too, since it was repainted in 2017 due to an accident, so this does bug me quite a bit. Thinking about getting this fixed along with the front bumper, since that is original paint at 346k km so it's super sandblasted and has multiple spots of peeling clear.

    This one hurts.
Silver lining is you get to respray both bumpers now

Bummer, sorry to hear. Same thing happened to my 2008 Saab. Luckily it was already scheduled to be sold. But yes, it was a sad day.

Don't feel too bad about it, I've paid for 4 bumper paint jobs during the ownership of my car. Since the rest of your rear bumper is pristine, you could just do smart repair.

    Ouch - how/why?
