So excited about that!

Wednesday I had dropped the 4 new wheels, 3 tires, and the new existing right rear off at the shop to start that process. Today I'm going over to have them put on the car which involves me putting on my spare. Remember the spare? It's that part that I almost never(and I mean never) check on any of my cars - for years. Well, guess what..... It's flat...........

Luckily I'm home and have a compressor, but thought I'd float the concept out there that more frequent than "never" is a good idea. If you haven't looked at it lately, might be worth lifting that cover..........
Just came across this post of mine from 2017 where I mentioned never checking my spare and then when finally doing it finding it flat. So do you think I've checked it since then? Nope..... but I got out there right immediately after reading this again.... It's still holding air.

For me the spare might be the most neglected item on my maintenance checklist - but it could burn ya if you never check it. Maybe it's time to put this on my calendar

The solution to this problem is to just carry a portable tire pump in the car.

I plan to buy a new spare tire for the trunk. Mine is around 15 y/o by now, and it appears never been used. But due to age it needs to go. Luckily I also have a full size spare tire handy.

I have that in my E92 since I switched from Run Flats. But hey, in the ZHP, I've got a spare, and it's supposed to be functional

Still got mine from my former ZHP. Just went on a 600 mile road trip so I needed to recheck everything before leaving. It had no air in it so I used my OEM compressor to bring it up to super high psi. I always have a tire plug kit too which I use over the space saver unless the sidewall was punctured...

I keep meaning to buy a 17 or 18 Apex wheel from their Scratch’n’Dent list to have a full size spare because the donut doesn’t come close to clearing my front caliper.

I think a spacer will do the trick. IIRC that's what I had when I had those calipers.

Need some quick advice. Got new wheels for the X5 but the fronts are an inch narrower than the OEM wheels:8.5 vs 9.5
    The tires are 275/40/20
Is this going to be a problem?
