Haha, I'll take that as a compliment.

Won't be for some time. I'm pretty pedantic about having absolutely everything ready, bagged, and tagged before starting on something like this so won't be for a few years. I'll hopefully start buying all the preventative stuff this year, before I decide on a motor to open up and rebuild. The extent of the rebuild is where I'm having the most difficulty deciding.

Ouch- This was a first, but I ended up finding a perfect fender at a bmw yard and eventually had fun replacing it.

Sedans are so perfect and would take the S54 with ease. What I miss the most about my sedan with no folding rear seats is how much slower my coupe takes to transition from one direction to another. I can feel there is more flex in the cabin because it has much larger holes than a sedan door opening. It is far more fun to zig and zag with a stiff sedan chassis over what I have now. Maybe I just need roll bars and something else to make the chassis less twisty.

I’ll trade you my sedan if you’re really feeling nostalgic

Haha it you lived in Vancouver, I would take serious thought! I was already driving a forum member's ZHP sedan 6MT one evening last week and I was just having such a great time looking back at the 8 years I owned my ZHP sedan. First shift out of the driveway was like this car was mated to me immediately. Some people need a couple blocks to get used to doing something they did before, I just needed to feel the engine start and I was immediately connected to the ZHP Matrix. My life is going into a slight gaussian blur right now and I need to stop.....

If you're talking about an S54 rebuild, you're gonna be spending some serious coin. I'd just get one that's already been addressed with the important stuff.

Perhaps a rear strut bar could help?
