A Zamp full-face, SA2015. Pretty good reviews and features for the price, and CMP (my closest track) doesn’t allow open-face. Since it’s more or less my first dabbling in organized motorsport activity I didn’t want to spend a ton, while also not skimping on my personal safety. With that said, I know I’ll love it, and will improve my equipment as my skills and speed develop. My neighbor is an instructor with the PCA and told me, “be careful with tracking. Not because of safety, that’s a given; be careful because it’s more addicting than any drug out there.”

Lol in 2 days (thanks Prime!) we’ll see if that’s any nicer than what I bought.

Understatement of the century. Going through serious withdrawals right now.

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

Set up a "Quickjack" BL-7000 SLX--not cheap, but it's built like a tank and works slick as shit. The really special thing I like about it is I don't have to deform my front reinforcement plate anymore to lift the front (got a new one waiting to go in). I'm glad I went with the 7,000lb capacity version--it's not that heavy and can lift my SUV's.

Saw those in my daily ecs email. They look like they make maintenance super easy. Pricey but look worth it for the DIYer

Finally pulled the car out for the first time in 3 months and took it on a 100 mile ride with the top down. Still one of my favorite cars to drive. It sad that I have only put 1500 miles on in in 2.5 years. The odometer just turn 51K miles..

I wanted to wait--guaranteed they'll knock $100-$200 off the price during some holiday sale, but I have a few jobs I want to do before spring, so I pulled the trigger.

I really need something. The chassis is so short and stiff on the VW Golf... Colin was over today and we did his DSG tranny fluid (40k required). We jacked up the back corner and two other corners lifted off the ground! It’s really awkward to get jack stands in place correctly.

    QuickJack: paging @ZHPizza

I’ve toyed with the idea o picking one up myself, but I’d want the 5000 lbs. model. Problem is, the probable NB Miata in my future won’t fit the 5000 model. I’ll just pick up 2 more Esco flat top jack stands instead.
