    I think the front end (at least the hood and front doors) were painted and it shows. Poor quality repaint, both the paint and clear coat is flaking off. You would think it would oxidize first but it's not.

    dang that sucks. Just do some M3 fenders while you're at it lol It's a mod, not a repaint lol That's what I did

    How tough are the needle removal and replacements?

    That's the thing, I didn't want to mess with it since you never get it aligned properly. That is why if you look closely, you can see a little slit on the speedo so I can get it over the needle without taking it off.

    FWIW removal isn't that difficult, you just have to be careful not to scratch the face when you pry it off

    I didn't think it's difficult to remove the needles. It just twists off. Why does everyone use a fork? lol

    Can confirm, despite being extremely cautious my needles were way off upon reassembly. Even after fixing all the others my temp needle is still comically wrong.

    You supposed to just rotate it CCW while gently pulling on it. After like 2 rotations it comes off. Then to align, you just put the needle back on and just rotate it to where it bottoms out again. then push keep pushing it to where you want it to be. Do it gently without the fork lol
