That is awesome! Glad to hear that it went smooth for you and family member was helping you.

Hey Pizza men, should I make a trip to NC next winter to work do a work on my touring. I know that I don't like New England winte-))

    oooooooof damn
Yes. I am that red touring, which spent 13 years in Ontario and last almost 3 years in Massachusetts. It is pretty rusty as you can imagine.

Hubs, bearings, e-brake cables, parking brake hardware and shoes, dust shields, and a bunch of other stuff gets replaced.

If anyone needs the genuine bmw tool to remove and install the bearings send me a dm. I purchased it when I did the job and it's a lifesaver.

Thanks for a stepping in. I remember we were chatting about that big project that you had to do.
I am very positive that it will be my case, when I will start working on it. I am surprised that ebrake still works.

I might have what you're looking for. PM me with a description/photos.
Not cut. I put the trailing arm in a hydraulic press and the pressure broke the trailing arm. The hub and bearing didn't even budge.

Relocated the positive jump post to inside the drug bin, so as to not interfere with my rebound adjustment with higher caster/camber:

Edit: oh and also installed my PS reservoir catch can. Just need to replace that janky stack of washers with a spacer I need to machine:

Yes, from your project thread, if I remember correctly. That's a lotta force!

Got some more time in the machine shop - hoping to wrap up my scale jigs this weekend. Also machined up the little spacer, so much nicer than stacked washers.

Finally finished the scale leveling jigs - just needed to make the slip plates. Boy that was probably something like 40 hours of labour in total. I'm so done with grinding and welding

Since my access to a lift is ending soon I decided to do a few things:

    1) Replaced trans fluid

    2) Test-fit revised rear toe jigs. These were too tight of a fit and it was rubbing too hard on the rear bumper. Milled out some clearance to push it back:

    3) Test-fit front ARB reinforcement plate. Needed to file the holes a bit, the ones for the drain were a bit off. Still fine for use though.

    4) Some of the heat shields were starting to tear around the nuts/bolts holding them up, so I put some fender washers on em

    5) Tesa taped a harness going to the trans. Noticed the insulation was cracking while changing the fluid

too bad I only got more active on forums right after he left. Could've had some fun work sessions like the crew down in NC @ZHPizza @Galapolis and where is @704sw
