Called Bav Auto Recycling to get a side door trim in my color.

Apparently they don't record the color of car parts Why even stock car body parts when you don't organize them by color??! That's the whole point of getting the part! I can get the primed trim piece for $50, but it'll be another $70 to paint it, and I don't wanna spend that money.

Silver Gray Metallic is one of the most popular E46 colors, yet it's damn hard to find anything that color. I've seen more rare colors than this on eBay. ><

This is a test of patience. I want the part now, and I can get the part in my color from BMW for $130; if I can save myself money and get it used for $50-60, then that's even better.

Installed my Dynavin Android Stereo Navigation System in the xi today. Didn't get to play with it yet as I was wrapping up the install right before heading to work. May just temporarily swap this into the ZHP right before the reunion in may. It sounds incredible right out of the box, can't wait to start tweaking it!

    I'm happy with the android.

I also have the backup camera but will probably wait till it gets warmer out and I can work with the garage door open and not freeze my feet off. I still have to run the mic as well.

I can't comment on the functionality of the windows version. I have only had time to fiddle with the Dynavin on my lunch break. The touch screen is a bit slow, or at least when I want to use the home or back buttons on the Android screen. It can be frustrating. I'll have to read a manual or brows the internets, maybe I'm doing something wrong.

:Had some more time with it after work. It was running a lot smother. Seems like the smaller on screen buttons are harder to press but you just have to sorta massage them with the stylus. My impressions on the speed were much greater the 2nd time around tho.

Started to take apart my car to do the guibo. Noticed that one of the underbody plates was cracked, which immediately made me think that perhaps the turbulence off that was causing the vibration I felt.

Got to the point where I could get a decent view of the Guibo and... it looked brand new. Not even a little bit of cracking. So I put the car back together without the underbody panels and... it drives perfectly. So for now I stitched up the broken panel with zip ties and have a new one on order. So far everything is okay.

Now I have about $300 worth of driveshaft parts that I didn't need...

Got it all nice and shiny, in preparation for a meet on Sunday. I finally figured out a way to keep my muffler shiny and clean without all the scrubbing. That's the only thing about the Dinan muffler, it gets really dirty really easily, but that's not a worry for me anymore
