    I modified my post really quickly. I don't think there are any good alternatives... as far as I know, they're all the same from a durability perspective. Bad design.

    You have to remove the power steering pulley to remove the bolts that mount the alternator to the block. The PS Pump can't be removed until the alternator is out of the way.

    Go OEM. I do think they all tend to fail at some point. I got my from a dealer for @80 online.
