ebay had covers for the armrest. They seem to be plastic, but I'm sure beige is available. Cheap fix for an old armrest.

Not ZHP related but still a BMW.

Just had my S.O.'s '03 530i once every two year Cali smog. And every time I have one of my horses smogged, it is always something new. As for beginning of 2015, all 2000 and above vehicles will not go through the smog like what we used to go through. Everything is computerized and wireless. My regular smog guy had to purchase a new machine at $5000 a pop. Smog all took just 5 min. All he had was this handheld computer that he plugs in to the BMW OBDII terminal. And 5 min later....all done. All results went straight to Sacramento. So fast I didn't even have a chance to take pics since I was waiting for the standard hookups with all them wires and running the car at different speeds. This is one machine that cannot be jerry-rigged for different results. Once plugged, technician does not have any control.

Coby wheel offers the armrest cover in either grey or black alcantara material. No leather option.

The grey matches the factory grey used on the steering wheel and boots. I went with black and red/blue stitching but you can also just do black stitching.

Changed out my center console, cup holders, and coin tray for new ones I got in from the mini parts store! The ten years of abuse made my car feel cheap! The new ones make it seem like a new car inside!

Threw in a new fuel filter this morning.

    Takeaways:
    1) you'll likely make up the time it takes to get it on jack stands rather than ramps.
    2) get a respirator. Very glad I had one on hand
    3) either clamp the passenger side rear hose or have the new filter ready to slap on. The others don't leak as much. A little pressure was left in the front, but not much. Could have released it at the Schroeder valve, but meh.
