Same here. I just don't want to be applying wax every 3 months.

This Spring I am going to follow the sealant with Collinite 476, but the sealant has done it's job for me on previous cars and the ZHP really well so we will see. Definitely going to double up next winter though.
daniel, that looks great. i have not used a sealant before, i think once i get some paintwork done this year i am going to go for it! especially after this winter... my imolarot looks more like alpineweiss...

vas, that sonax polymer net shield looks great! and it looks easy and quick - i like that. i have almost less than zero time for car detailing, so stuff like this just rocks for me. thanks.

The sonax has gotten me through this winter and I am satisfied with it. Easy to apply and leaves a great shine. Plus you can use a detail spray that will add more protection.

    I been using this kit

Spring time I will do a proper detail using this 3m perfect it system and then use the sonax again.

Reason I am sticking to the 3m stuff is because it works and there is no headaches. This is the same system that all professional body shops use after cars have been painted.

Man your car looks Suh-weet!!! All great advice here, I think I'm going to start experimenting with a few of these products and see what I can come up with. My previous black vehicle (ford f-150) had black paint and I used Meguiars at first. But it was a 3 step system and that's if I only wanted to use one coat of polish! So simplicity is a big selling point for me.
Thanks for the all the info guys!

What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #2

Had tires mounted on the 18x8 ARC8's finally. Not so sure about the 245/35's on her car. They look fine on mine, but some reason they look small on her car. More importantly, it was dropped off at the shop to have the manual swap done. I was going to do it while the wife was in NZ, but job got crazy busy and I won't have time to get it done before the 25th.

Need to figure out when I would install, create a custom section 1 with cats, and enjoy before figuring out how to pass smog in two years. Plenty of time I guess. Just not stoked to do the install although it seems fairly straight forward.

These are no name brand headers (knock off of SS) with 3/8" flange for OEM studs and not terrible construction. The flanges are in the same plane with 1.5mm tilt on one or two flanges (one side lifted slightly from the heat when welding to the pipe). I think that would be small enough to not make a difference in the installation/gaskets would mate just fine. Next problem that I cannot verify right now is the stud hold location but based on the flange plane alignment I would guess they are ok.
