What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #2

Everything I've ever read about harnesses has said they should be used with a harness bar when running stock seats. Post up what they say- curious to hear their response.

I can't find any decent pics showing how a harness bar would be mounted in an E46. It doesn't look like a simple setup; I see multiple attachment points, meaning PITA to install and remove. That in itself will guarantee I will not run a harness bar.

We'll see what Schroth says tomorrow. If they say that a harness bar is needed (which is NOT mentioned in their installation documentation), then I will have to remove the harness hardware and sell it.

I know a couple of veteran track guys that run this harness the same way I have it. I don't know if they're doing this out of ignorance or what. I'll use the information Schroth gives me as a guide to my next step.

I was more referring to the style of bar that keeps the belts at the correct height behind the rear seats, not one for the harnesses to actually mount to.

Another day finished, another day with progress on the cars...

M3: Installed the OEM gloss black kidney grills. Otherwise, she's getting dirty pulling daily driver status for the wife AND myself while I do a full detail on the X5.

X5: Today I finished the paint work, a full/extensive clay bar, followed by a coat of wax. I have been having to compound and polish a couple of small areas that need extra attention before the final coat of wax. Debadged it last night, got the area looking perfect now. Also did the windows. Tomorrow I will take a crack at Leatherique on the seats, and hopefully getting the wheels off for a good cleaning and maybe wax. Lastly, polish those tips....

Pertaining to harness ideal is 0-20 degrees down from top of seat. However 40 is acceptable. 90 is bad news and I believe that's what you were referring to badclown.
