Replaced FSR in the ZHP today, cleaned all windows and applied Rain-X, cleaned interior (and detailed turn-signal stalk!). She'll get a proper bath tomorrow... Installed the black cube trim I got by swapping my silver cube with another member - looks great!

Plugged my TPS back in, changed my oil, changed my air filter, and finally took it for a drive. Throttle response is so much nicer now. Will try to detail the car tomorrow if there is enough time.

Today I attempted to install my Wilwood calipers but failed miserably. The brackets were interfering with the dust shield and caliper bracket mounting ears. I thought it was a plug and play kit, so I started wondering what to do next. I ended up cutting parts of the dust shield and having a friend grind a bit off the mounting ear, but the caliper still would not mount properly. I gave up today and after much frustration and pain, put the stock setup back on and visited the jacuzzi courtesy of Charlie's apartment complex to ease my back pain.

I pinged the guy I bought the calipers from as well as Derek and both of them said the same thing. The mounting ear has excess metal from casting that is unnecessary, and should be grinded further to allow the holes to line up.

    Tomorrow I'll make another attempt.

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

Got my Hamann PG1's shod in a new set of rubber (255/40/18 R, 225/45/18 F Pilot Super Sports) and mounted on the car this fine sunny day. In love!

Finally replaced the water pump on my zhp... The old gasket on the water pump was as flat as it could be...

Cleaned the interior in the wife's car. Looks pretty good besides it needing new pillars.

Finally got both front Wilwood calipers mounted. Ended up having to grind the top mounting ears that the caliper bracket attaches to so that its shape is round like the bottom ears. I already cut the dust shields the day before. Mounted the calipers up, bled them, and started on the rears.

The rears required me to cut along the entire perimeter of the dust shield where it is bent inwards to "cover" the rotor. I made it totally open so there is no longer a curved-in lip around the dust shield. I couldn't mount the rear calipers though because the right rear brake line nut is seized; I can't seem to loosen it despite a few rounds of PB Blaster. I need to have my buddy around in case I round the nut as he is capable of re-flaring the line if I screw it up.

Oh man, I've spent so much time getting this prepared I'll be really upset if this is the case. Thanks for the warning, hoping for a better outcome.

EDIT: Hey this had me curious because I was not able to get USB drives to be recognized in VB/VM/Windows 8.1, so I went ahead and switched the internet connection to bridged ethernet as I'm supposed to when I code and attempted to get online with an ethernet cable. I'm at work, our internet is stupid slow, it didn't work at first but then started working. So then I googled what adapter you use to code e46 and it looks like you use an OBD2 to USB. The i3 uses OBD2 to Ethernet. Maybe this is why you had trouble? Or did you try a car that used OBD2 to ethernet also? If this isn't going to work I would rather prepare now before the car comes. Slow work internet connection and no USB is why it took me awhile to get this set up, but I don't think I'll need USB now that I have it ready to go. I appreciate your insight and help.

Thats what I've been working on, getting everything up and running and ready to go. I just need the cable to come in (tomorrow) oh, and the car to come in, haha. My sales person posted on FB that as he left Saturday he checked on my car and said its latest update said that it was assigned to a truck. Hopefully it will arrive in ATL tomorrow and he can get it to me by the end of the week. In the meantime I showed some love to my better half's 2007 Honda CRV EX-L Nav both yesterday (bath) and today (interior detail). We've been sharing it, although I've been driving it primarily, since the ZHP left us.

    Don't laugh, its paid for.
