What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #2

Today I finally replaced my cowling. Now that my windshield has been replaced, I don't have to worry about it getting marred.

nice, BP. i replaced mine when i replaced my windshield as well. the old one wasn't that bad, but the rubber lip that meets the windshield was getting dry and cracked.

Restored a spare set of ZKW headlight lens I have sitting in my garage while BP worked on prepping his rear deck for refinishing


I couldn't believe just how easy it is to restore these headlight lens!

Saving coin here so I can get my new oil filter cap for the ///M

Here's a shot if BP getting his rear deck cleaned for paint

Word of advice.

When you sand off the hazing you are actually removing a protective layer as well.

So even though they are clear, they won't stay that way forever.

So if you want to avoid them becoming yellow and hazy, you need to either put vinyl on them or coat them with a product like opti coat pro.

Otherwise it's a temporary fix.

New tires installed on the Mini today. I was able to get a local shop to price match Pirelli P Zero run flats. $750 all four installed FTW!

Yea 205/ 45R17. I wasn't even in the market yet and was just looking at my options but I wasn't passing this up. They were $135 each instead of $189!
