Did I ever mention that BMW plastic parts suck!

I like it. It's a pump bottle, and it comes out as a foam so it's easy to control and it more or less stays where you put it. Plus it smells good--kind of a mild fruity smell, definitely not a strong chemical smell.

It took a little experimentation to get the technique right, but I finally got it. I spray an ample amount on a small area, then brush it with normal pressure until the foam turns brown. Then I soak up the nasty foam with the rag. Move on to another section until the whole wheel is done, then do another round. I did this until the foam was coming out clean, or until it looked like the fabric was starting to suffer.

Luckily my wheel is in GREAT shape (surprising after 113k miles!) and I got nice results. On and off, I probably spent about 90 minutes on it. Easier because the wheel is off the car--I swapped with a leather sport wheel a while back because the matted alcantara was too slippery. I'll probably put this one back on now that it's all clean.

The pictures don't show the improvement too well.

looks great for the mileage, those SONAX cleanings seem to work wonders. i was lazy and opted for a coby wheel instead of refreshing mine but after getting all new tricolor stitched bits, i sold all of my OE stuff and cut the coby cost in half.
