Sold my alcantara wheel and picked up a leather wheel. Call me crazy but I am absolutely not a fan of alcantara.

I also swapped to the Z4M shift lever. To my surprise I was able to do it all from the drivers seat. Extra long needle nose pliers and flathead screwdriver were all I used. It feels so much better!

Great looking wheel! Can't say I agree with your opinion on alcantara(lol) but the leather looks really comfortable, love the stitching

Any cloverleaf on ramp/off ramp at a speeds approaching "slow spirited" is met with DSC blinking constantly which I can feel the front ABS system is working and the car trying to rotate.

My air pressure is 34 front and 36 rear.

I'll play around with air pressures more to get closer to neutral handling then change suspension stiffness to further my car closer to what I want it to do when I chuck it around. LOL

Sounds like you drive her like she's meant to be driven! Can't say I'll be that courageous in my first winter, though lol

Oh your tires are even mushier than my "performance" winters. Haha. I do like to push to the limit. But winter tires on a performance car make the experience night and day compared to PSS. LOL

true. it's almost more fun because you're taking a lot of grip away.

Well it's fun on the track. LOL. It's not as drama free on an unpredictable public road surrounded in obstacles I may have to swerve from. At least I can swerve with style. With the rear hanging out.

I am 110% with you on this one. I got rid of my entire stock interior (cloth/alcantara) in favor for Natural Brown leather because the maintenance of the seats to prevent them from looking like crap was way too much of a headache. That, and I did have an alcantara wheel for a short time - and got rid of it after 6 months. The stress level was way too high...

We are definitely the minority here! I rarely have clean hands and didn't want to ruin. The feel of the wheel isn't what I wanted either. Too slippery maybe? I'm not sure but the leather makes me feel right at home.

Keeping the Alcantara clean does take a bit more effort but the exclusivity of it makes it worth it to me at least. Have the Coby wheel and boots in both of my cars and no issues. Even the wife has no complaints about it. Says her hands don't get cold during the winter months either.

At least it won't dry out and crack like leather. And then good luck trying to find a replacement.
