I finally got around to replacing my driver's side window regulator after buying the replacement about a year ago. I stopped going up all the way.

I looked closely at the old one and could find nothing obvious wrong with it... it was definitely bad though

Well I didn't do anything TODAY, but after getting out of my car in bright sun and looking down I sure am about to do something soon.
I bought the car last year with emasculate paint, hand washed by the original owner, never put through an auto wash. About 4 months ago I started going to a Hand Wash place where I watched them hand wash it, figured it'd be fine. I had just moved in the months prior and was still in the process, and hand washing her wasn't top priority unfortunately
I don't know why I'm noticing this more now but WOW, im not used to seeing any swirl marks so this took me back
I know there are far worse things to complain about, especially considering the severity, or lack there of, of the issue.
    Still though, it's disheartening

Sorry bud, hurts to see damage no matter how small. Unfortunately, most of these hand wash places are no better than gas station, automatic washers when it comes to scratching paint.

Guess so, won't be doing that anymore lol. There's a place near me that does full details for $175 - full interior and exterior. So I'll be stopping by this week and seeing how much exterior is alone

when i bought my car it had really bad holograms thought the paint and being a black car, they were really noticeable. The detail place I went to got them out. Your detailer should be able to do the same. I think I paid $99 back in 2008

Replaced my center vents because my old one had a slightly binding temp slider as well as a crack in the upper left corner.

Also, deleted my Bimmian mount because I got tired of my loose looking trim. I'll come up with an alternate solution in the mean time...

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

How do you remove the vent? I have 2 cars with the same upper left crack...

I, too, have this crack. I haven't decided if it bothers me enough just yet.
