    Haha, thanks guys.

The copilot is along for the ride. The dead bug somehow found his final resting place in the cluster. Need to fix pixels anyway, so no biggie.

I see now that I missed the thread, I was aiming for "What did you buy today thread".

Anyway, it's 07/2001 facelift in TiAg like my last ZHP. Owned by the same family since new. It's somewhat neglected given the low miles and fact that the owner knows nothing about cars.

Should be a fun project, can't wait to start refreshing this beast. Everything is original on the car, just how I like it. Original paint apart from the front bumper and lower right skirt for which I have before/after pics.

It will be 3 long weeks until we reunite in Deutschland.

The E39 M5 just looks so right in TiAg. It looks clean, and sophisticated.

Regarding my marvelous upgrade from a 3.07 rear diff to 3.38, I optimism that I could hit 60mph in 2nd appears unfounded. I haven’t tested it thoroughly, but it looks like the damnable rev limiter is kicking in about 55mph—not that I care, but some might. By the way, this is despite the fact the car is “Sharked”.

I'll say it too, damn right.

For some guys it's not a very desirable color on e39 M5. I love it, like you said it looks sophisticated and brings out the lines of the car perfect. Not to mention it's relatively easy to keep clean.

Now I just need Madonna in the back seat.
The film with e38 is also pretty cool.
