    Are you putting them into service position before trying to pull them? That was the magic trick for me.

    Opened the hood, put them in the service position and wiggled the arms. Both sides came off easy.

    Service position = arms are pulled up as though you're changing your wiper blades. This will relieve the tension the arms are under, making it easier to pull them out.
