Brake pressure sensor arrived today. These suckers are getting more expensive by the day, it seems.

I bought mine from Tischer for $139, but I've seen them as high as $190.It must be one helluva sensor. It looks like it should cost about $20.

I'll be putting it in this weekend. Pulled the error causing the DSC and Yellow Brake (no ABS light), and it was bad pressure sensor 1.

Mine was acting up. So I went to disconnect everything including the big bar connection to DSC module underneath. Pulled the connectors off the brake pressure sensors, blew them hard, hit the sensor with a large wrench a few times, reconnected everything.

It’s been over a year and nothing has ever come up.

Beisan seals and rattle kit have arrived! cant wait to tackle this job. Decided to invest in 32mm wrench and water pump pulley holding tool since I am tired of running back and forth to autozone to borrow it. Waiting for that to come in the mail before I replace the fan clutch and do the VANOS job

Darn. I should have asked. This is one of those jobs that is tough, because it could just need cleaning. I hear there is a little hole that can get clogged in the sensor, and sometimes it is the electrical connector, but it is such a pain to get to, it makes you cautious to have a new one standing by regardless. Labor > Part. I think I'm going to follow the TIS procedure and pull the tank above the master cylinder, then power flush the system and run the ABS motors via INPA while bleeding.

Good deal. I'm going to try a similar procedure first, but wanted a new sensor on hand just in case.

My indy told me I needed new front struts. So I was looking around and saw the tire rack was having a closeout on FSDs. Total was $568, no tax, no shipping and a $50 mail in rebate. So $518 for new struts and shocks- how does that fare on the deal-o-meter?
