While my gauge cluster was out for installation of the eKombi module I took the opportunity to polish it. Unfortunately I couldn't find compound to get the heavier scratches out, but it's a whole lot better than it was before:

Thanks man! I'm no Obsessed Garage, but I still like to keep my car clean and minimize swirls.

Btw, I'm so in love with your car - Estoril is by far my favourite BMW blue!

The bullshit high expense cost is the brackets for the front. Rotors, longer rear lines, and pads aren’t that bad

I have the exact same rim & tire size. Aside from looking a tad small I think it's great - cheaper tires, ability to rotate tires, and less unsprung and rotational mass than the 18s

Yeah it’s crazy how much they charge, rumor has it the oem 135 bracket can be modified but I think rotor size becomes an issue.

Idk if I should pony up and go crazy with these, I was going to powder coat them one time, get the brackets, lines, pads.

My 330 rotors are basically new, I have Zimmerman drilled rotors from FCP but when you run 330 rotors there’s a lip left on the brake pad right?

I know this can get expensive and quick lol but I want to do everything correctly.

I haven’t noticed any kid of lip on the pad. Maybe I just haven’t worn any of the pads down far enough yet to notice (aside from the EBC Yellows I absolutely destroyed). And I’m getting a full sweep on the rotor face, so no lip there either. Maybe certain brands of pads are a touch taller/have a little more material?

Or maybe the brackets included in the BMWP kit sold by ECS are slightly different dimensions than the brackets I have from Reboot? Certainly a lot of variables at play.
