What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #2

Installed KW V2 coilovers for my birthday ... all week. Stage 1: just figure out how to get them on. Slammed! Stage 2: let's get some civilized height dialed back in. Stage 3: Nope...a little lower. Stage 4: Home Depot for some shorter camber plate screws that don't interfere with the springs. And we're done.

today i replaced the peeling C pillar on the driver's side with a new OEM piece, only to notice that the passenger side has begun sagging also. i stuck in a piece of double sided tape for now but it will eventually get replaced as well. also put some tape on the driver's A pillar bottom section which acutally looks half decent for the time being.

We all chipped in to help Sergy get his OEM M3 side mirrors installed on his touring today.



We took our time and got the mirrors mounted after several test fittings and adjustments at Charrie’s garage...


Passenger side mounted solidly and looking great!

Thanks fredo! We just finished and Sergy and Alla headed home. It was a nice day spent with good friends and getting his mirrors mounted. There were some hiccups along the way but we managed to work around them.

Those things are brittle. Broke some tabs when I pulled those off.

Those look so much better. Good company and pleasant weather always makes working on cars more enjoyable, and makes the hiccups seem inconsequential.
