What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #2

I added this to my stable today... my M3 has a sister coming up from Maryland soon.

For those who know me you know there will be much more to come....

Right now I’m waiting for the title to arrive to the seller’s home then I will be making the trip south with Botond and completing the sale of this car and drive her home.

While I am waiting for the title to arrive, the car will be getting a complete cooling system overhaul and all wheel alignment. I'll be back to ZHP ownership again very soon

Very nice, Charlie. I’m guessing the Audi is drawing the short straw?

There's a red 2005 330 ZHP coupe for sale in California, MD - might as well grab that one, too!

Eventually I will sell the Audi, yes. Very selective on who I will sell this Unicorn to. Once she goes though I will miss her but in the right hands she will be well taken care of and that is what matters for this very unique and rare car. My heart has always been on E46 BMWs and for daily driving duties I have found and appreciated driving my ZHP while I owned it so getting back into my dream ZHP makes this all the more bittersweet since I will be forced to let the Audi go...

After buying Tyler's ZHP I am up to 4 cars in my garage... I'm all set, thanks for the suggestion John!

Had my second, passenger airbag recall done. One of the sales guys at the dealership offered to buy it and begged me to call him if I ever decide to sell.

haha that must feel pretty good... still gotta take mine in at some point. I'm waiting on a trunk handle gasket which is backordered until July so I'll do my airbag then.

I already put this in the thread for my car but it's a pretty cool pic so here it goes:

I did a driveway string alignment last weekend, tying fishing line around jackstands. Had a crooked steering wheel and pull to the left so I thought it was down to the sketchy alignment setup, so I borrowed what were basically Smart Strings and I still have the same issue.

Did it randomly develop? If it's been like that you can rotate your steering coupler (guibo) a notch or two to correct.

Nah, it only happened after putting in Ground Control camber plates, then doing a DIY string alignment in the driveway. I think I may have had a very small pull before, but it was so miniscule that it may have been due to the curvature in the width of the road.

I'm going to swap my brand-new RS4s on and see if the issue is still there. Right now I have two Continental ExtremeContact Sport on the front with a decent amount of camber wear, and the two in the rear are brand-new.

Thanks John, I honestly did not plan for this to happen. That’s what makes this fun

So yeah... I’m back and in typical fashion, I’m already building my mod list.

First thing I will be doing is my Coby wheel swap and LCM sw 4.5 swap before driving this car home.

Then after getting the car home and engine bay cleaned to my standards... I have a BMW Performance Carbon Fiber strut bar to mount and an E90 hidden compass and homelink auto dim rear view mirror to swap in place.

I plan to install a UUC EVO3 SSK/DSSR for this car as well as doing many other upgrades as I begin yet another ZHP project thread.... here I go again John

I also plan to get the Umnitza Orion V4 Angel Eyes to install on this car since all of my BMWs have had these on them. Out of all the angel eye products out there, this is the absolute best if you want to have presence. The lighting is clear and smooth for LED angel eyes....worth the cost to have them.

I will also install the Morimoto LED fogs I have sitting around as "spares"... they will now be used in this ZHP

Looks like I should be thinking about starting another project thread and I will once I have the car in my hands... still waiting on the title to arrive so I can come down to finish the deal.
