I’m in the market for a new driver side mirror.....

Someone just side swiped my car while I was standing in front of my house.....they didn’t even pull over. I’m lucky it’s just the mirror but still I’m pissed.

I found the car that hit mine a couple blocks from my house. Cops made contact with the people that own the vehicle I found. Matching damage and vehicle description. They added the car info, plate, and owner info as the car that hit mine. A cop will contact me tomorrow with an update.

The cop said if they couldn’t make contact or the person denied it but they had reason the believe it was the car that they would impound the car and do an investigation. I’m guessing since they entered all the info into the report that the person admitted to it.

I'm happy to hear you found the jerk who hit and run your car. I hope this jerk gets a hefty fine for not stopping and that his insurance pays to fix your car to boot! This is one reason I refuse to ever street park any of my cars no matter what...I have seen too many people get their cars hit, it is not worth it to me to have to go thru this amount of BS because someone can't drive right...no excuses here...

Hit and run driver's need to serve jail time. It's akin to theft.

My update for the day. I hate the 4-spoke steering wheel my touring came with, so I transferred the M3 wheel from my ZHP while it sits immobile in the garage. Will be looking for a replacement so this will serve for the interim.

Go get em, I hope they get what's coming to them. When I was just a kid I thought I did the same thing to a car down the road from my house as I had passed by it very close, so I walked over and looked at the car. No observable damage, but I still knocked on their door and had them look at it. They said if they found any issues they'd let me know, but I never heard back from them. It was winter so it might've just been some ice on the road that I ran over, right as my car passed theirs




Also this was not today but a few days ago, decided to pick this up:



Huuuuuuge upgrade from my hand-me-down corded impact driver barely pushing 50 ft-lbs. Wheel changes are literally 10 minutes, and since I swap them so often using this gun has been such a time and effort saver.

It’s crazy how people don’t want to be accountable for what they do. If they had stopped we could’ve taken care of it outside of insurance. Now I’m going to go full press against them. I should hear from the investigator tomorrow or Wednesday.
