First work on the F31d since picking it up in January: brake flush. Nice change of pace from the (extremely) high mileage life

Started installing my front ARB reinforcement plates. Also, god damn more rust. Sanded the rear shock towers and tomorrow going to POR15 it.

While the rear shocks were out I added the shock shields which are from another Koni damper I had purchased for school research. Oddly enough the GC kit does not come with it, and I don't want to sandblast the shafts with rocks and potentially spring a leak.

Also I was way too hellaflush in the front and I hated how careful I had to be to not scrape. Called GC and it turns out you can thread the spring seats a bit off the strut, you don't need to have full thread engagement. That got me another 4-5 mm ride height without having to buy new springs.

What sway did you end up getting? Also BMW does sell an official front strut spacer if you need more ride height: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...h/31306779671/

30 mm M3 bar from ST Suspensions - seems to be the cheapest front bar by far, at that size. But there's a pretty beat-up GC front bar for sale locally. Guy is asking $400 CAD which is way too much, and it's been on kijiji for over a month. I have the ad bookmarked

At that price I might as well just get new front springs though... each Eibach spring is about $60-70 or so. Damn, maybe I should've waterjet some spacers to go between the camber plate and the reinforcement plate when I had the chance! It's not super-super low though. I think I should be happy with this 4 mm or so increase

Completed the weight reduction today and finally installed the pedal covers that have been lying around for over a year.
