oh, I think it's because I just put the bent the filter and pushed it in lol The filter JR bought was a slightly smaller so I was able to just push bend it enough to just push it into it's spot and spread it around to cover everything. I didn't remove 8 screws lol

Windshield chip repair on the X3. The shop said $70 (or $60 cash) for the first chip plus $10 for each additional one. This was much better than Safelite's quote: $160.

Fired up the E39 530i daily driver to come to work & it's stumbling, like a coil misfire. Ordered a set of fancy Dinan ones that cakM3 mentioned earlier - went with blue; didn't need the extra HP of the red ones! Might have to drive the ZHP until the coils arrive, and of course there's a threat of a wintry event mid-week...

Fitted the euro diffuser (for hitch), washed the car, washed the engine bay for the first time in my ownership (at most I was previously wiping things down).

It's decent but there's lots of faded plastic (need to use some sort of trim restorer), also can't get away from this car's 10+ years of winter with the rusty bits here and there.

Also, the headlight I took apart and replaced the lense with has some condensation. I must not have done a good job re-sealing it - but also, this is the first time it happened, I think as a byproduct of water getting in from the top with the hood open.

Ordered a set of Dinan N-Series Performance Ignition Coils - Blue (D650-0004) from Turner Motorsport on Wed at 8 PM. They arrived via UPS at noon today/Sunday. I usually avoid buying from the Turner/ECS/Pelican empire, but the price was as good as other vendors and they were in stock and qualified for free shipping. Easy to switch out (have some dielectric grease on hand, to use a small dab to keep them from sticking to the spark plugs). Smooth running again!

Three of the four rubber trim cover spacers (11-12-1-730-352) for the plastic engine trim cover are missing so I''ll order/pick them up tomorrow, then button it all up once in hand.

Replaced the pulleys. Recent rain and humidity had them squeeking. Went to a Pick a Part junk yard with my younger son yesterday looking for 6 or so items. Was his first time and my 1st in 20 years. Wasn't very successful, but a good experience regardless. Only brought home a driver's seat receptacle as the one in my coupe doesn't seem to hold the clip securely these days, darn thing pops out while driving. :|

Finally got a chance to clean this car up. Not bad for 20 years old and 216k miles.
