I am gonna try this man, I can't stand my old yellow peeling clear bra anymore...
$44 even for a year's protection is not that bad I think...

What I don't get it is:

This is a spray, SO, how do you not get it in between panel gaps? or do you have to mask each panel where it ends? that could be a PITA.
(masking the lights would be a pita too...unless this can go on lights also...i think it could)
Their demo video only shows a horizontal surface - hood. Will it run when sprayed on vertical surfaces like bumper and fenders?
(esp. because you;re supposed to layer it withOUT letting previous coats dry...)
I guess not, it doesn't LOOK like it would, but just curious...

I will most definitely be giving this a try, though at this point I couldn't tell if I get new chips because I have so many on the front. It's worth a try though.

3M replied to my questions on amazon reviews section:

"...You do not need to mask the panel gaps. If you get light overspray in the gaps, you can easily remove it with ammonia-based glass cleaner.
3M Paint Defender Spray Film can be applied to vertical surfaces as well. For vertical surfaces, follow the same application method as you would for a horizontal surface
    ..."

That said, one reviewer on Amazon DID experience a bit of running when using on vertical surface, but he solved this buy applying more but thinner coats (6 instead of recommended 3) on vertical surfaces (fenders) and avoided running.

Decided to order this and try it on wife's Mazda 6 to see how it goes...

3M has some more videos added now:

    New consumer video:

EDIT/UPDATE: just bought it - Mariko (wife's new Mazda 6) will be guinea pig
