I hear that if it is the last resonator just before the muffler, that the difference is not great but that when the car is running (with no revs) it sound just a little bit deeper

Yeah and apparently to avoid losing low end, you need to weld in an x-pipe.
I've also been wanting to do this.

I know that people who have taken out resonators on a 330 have notice little in volume. The muffler is really good at silencing the excess note. What resonators do I believe is cancel out exhaust drone which can be annoying on long trips when running a high gear at lower than 2500RPM with load.
