Only a few replies. One kid busting balls that I'm selling with its OE 15" wheels, which for 99% of potential buyers will occupy garage space once the new owner fits it with whatever floats his boat. The rest are "nice car, GLWS, etc." No recent replies. Despite the economic climate of the past few years, prices for nice examples have risen and many on that site are dreamers who can only hope to get into a (non-M) E30 for high school graduation. Nothing against non-M E30's -- I use my '87 325is all the time, love it.

In this market watcher's opinion, the E30 M3 will continue to rise in value due to the usual mix of supply, demand, and demographics. Most of those who love 'em are not yet in their prime earning years. Once the bulk of E30 M3 buyers are empty-nesters with significantly more discretionary income than they have now, prices will skyrocket. I can envision examples like mine at $75k (today's dollars) by end of this decade.

Mark, that would not surprise me about prices. Attrition is also in your favor. It's getting more and more difficult to find a car like yours. When I was looking for E30 M3s, I should have raised my budget to about $25,000. I would not have had to deal with all of the pathetic sellers in the $20K range. There is a real delineation once you get to $25Kish and above versus the stuff below that price.

Indeed it is. T-minus 24 hours until the new BMWCCA.org site goes live. Will be interesting to see what they've done with the classified ad section.

EDIT: BMW Club keeps delaying launch of new site.

Not yet. It didn't make the July Roundel magazine but it'll be in the Aug issue.

And for S's & giggles, I put it up on eBay as a Buy it Now. A little over 2 days in, the stats are amazing: nearly 1400 page views. Let it not be said eBay doesn't deliver the eyeballs...

Bump. Still available. I haven't exactly had my butt in gear on this but I think I now know what I want next as a replacement. Tho it's sure hard to beat an E30 M3 as a relatively affordable weekend fun car that's also appreciating in value. I think it'll be in the June Roundel magazine classifieds. If any of you have your June issue yet, have a look.
