Changed tstat. I expect mpg to go up, heater to work faster (it takes a long time to heat up LOL), engine to finally warm up, and the idle should change rpms.

Not sure yet. Should I? What's the advantages? How do they play with under drive pullys? (Haven't installed them yet but I will in the future.)

Was sitting at a stop light when I felt a good sized pop.

Long story short, my expansion tank exploded. EXPLODED. Coolant just drained from the car.

Had it towed to my mechanic.

I had a date set up in January to redo my entire cooling system. I just missed it by 3 weeks and now I have to pay a lot more on part of it.

Oh well. I also planned to have my tranny serviced, so I'll be spending some coin today.

Here's my tank. A little underwhelming compared to what the explosion felt like.

I have a Stewart pump and Turner pulleys, they work fine together.

A Stewart pump has a metal vs composite impeller, and also is designed to be 20% more efficient than the stock pump. Even with underdrive pulleys it is still more efficient than the stock pump
