What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #2

Well...Finished my CCV refresh with the cold climate system, cleaned the Fuel Injectors and changed the O-rings (man they were dirty), cleaned the Disa, ICV, and throttle body. Since I was a good boy and got all my chores done I finished the night with my new aFe install and all I can say is holy $h!t, man does she run like a bat outta hell now and sounds sick as can be. I made 4 or 5 passes on the 4 lane next to my house and was giggleing the whole way.
    God I love my car!

What do you mean you got a long way to go??? I myself, have quite a lot to do before I can ever say my ZHP is now complete.... at the rate I keep getting distracted by upgrade acquisitions and modding/maintaining my M3, I will never be done It's all about positive progress on our cars my friend! I enjoy seeing others making good progress on their cars as much as I love seeing progress being made to mine

That's good stuff Geoff. I recently did much of that too, glad to hear it worked out. Just the CCV alone really helped my idle, as it was definitely an issue.

Thanks JR, I don't ever want to the CCV again! What a PITA.
On a sour note: Installed the aFe last night and it ran fine, took it to the gym this morning and the SES came on- Womp Womp.

So am I crazy? Thought slotted rotors would point/spin the other way. Did ECS just mislabel these?

Front of car is on the right side of the frame. These are not like Stoptechs where one just points the other way, the other side looked wrong too but L and R were stamped on the box and in ink on the rotor.

It's not the direction of the slots that's important, it's the direction of the cooling vanes in the center of the rotor. As long as those are good, you have nothing to worry about.

If they're straight vaned (straight to the center of the rotor from the outside) then its orientation shouldn't matter. If the vanes don't go direction to the center of the rotor then it definitely matters.
